Thank you for visiting our Fundraising Page for the National Kidney Foundation (NKF)
We started this page in honor and memory of Bhupendra C. Patel, husband to Nirupa Patel, father to Neel and Monali Patel, grandpa to Drona Patel, father-in-law to Avi Eisner.
Our Dad passed away on August 19, 2019 after a long battle with kidney disease and related complications. B.C. was a much loved husband, father, father-in-law, brother, uncle, and friend.
The journey for someone diagnosed with kidney disease is long and difficult. Often times it is diagnosed too late, once the kidneys are already damaged. In our Dad's case, the donated kidney did not last long, however we are so grateful for the additional time we did have with him. Living donors are in most cases a kidney patient's best chance for living freely. NKF’s work helps make the journey a little easier for those living with kidney disease, as well as those who care for and about them.
Over the past two decades, the face of kidney disease has been rapidly evolving. Landmark developments in nephrology have created new approaches to treatment, and groundbreaking information regarding prevention has altered the world’s understanding of the disease. NKF is leading the way in fighting this disease, leveraging their knowledge and experience to focus on building awareness, increasing prevention, and improving treatment of kidney disease.
Your donation will honor B.C.'s (Dad's) battle with kidney disease and spread hope for the future. It will also help raise vital awareness to people at risk for kidney disease, so they do not have to go through what he went through.
Every donation is meaningful to our family. We appreciate your support to help fight kidney disease.
