Celebrating my 10 year kidney donation anniversary!

On Oct 28, 2009, I went under the knife and anonymously gave away a kidney.

I never did meet my recipient but I know that at the time of the surgery it was a 53 year old man. Around the 4.5 year mark I heard that he was alive and well!

WHEN: Sunday, Oct 27, 6:00-9:00pm

WHERE: Icehouse, 2528 Nicollet Ave S, Minneapolis

Entertainment: local band General B and the Wiz, DJ QueenDuin, and really great food and drinks available for purchase

Parking, menus, and more: https://www.icehousempls.com/

$10 cover charge: portion of the proceeds benefit the NKF. Thank you Icehouse, General B and the Wiz, and DJ QueenDuin for their support!

When I gave away my kidney, I knew I wasn't helping only one person...I was helping a huge community of people who love my recipient. The NKF helped me learn that.

I’m taking the opportunity to raise funds to support the National Kidney Foundation and the work they do to help the 73 million Americans at risk for kidney disease, the 30 million living with chronic kidney disease, the 80,000 waiting for transplants, and those who care for and about them.

I’m donating my celebration to support the NKF's work in community education and outreach so that more people are celebrating their own milestones and anniversaries.

Each donation is meaningful, and I would be grateful for your support to help fight kidney disease!

Thank you!
